Update: New Hunger Games Trailer to Air During...

Earlier tonight ET revealed a Hunger Games spot would be airing during the Superbowl on Sunday (2/5/12). We also learned that on tomorrow night’s episode of ET, they will be airing a sneak peek of the piece.
Lionsgate has confirmed to us that the spot is actually a trailer and it will air during the pre-game show and not the game itself.

It starts from Katniss saying ‘I volunteer as tribute’ just to show like a ‘previously on thg’ and then there’s the counting and they take off, and it shows the Careers killing not-important tributes in the bloodbath, Katniss shooting an arrow, maybe Rue’s voice in the background ‘You have to win, Katniss’. People watching the Games, Gale watching it, with Prim and maybe Mrs. Everdeen....

So, I am in detention for speaking out in class...
My teacher: How do you stomp out a rebellion? Kill everyone involved.
Me: Unless you're Katniss Everdeen..
Teacher: Those books are stupid. They have no point.
Me: The Hunger Games is a trilogy of trials that a young girl named Katniss Everdeen that is my age must face. It teaches the power of love, and how you would sacrifice anything to keep the ones you love safe. It teaches the value of friendship, that you're never really alone if you have friends. It teaches morals, that you should always stand up for what you believe in and never back down. It teaches loyalty, and that no matter what you always know what is right and who will always be there. Lastly, it makes a statement that power can often corrupt the best of people. It makes you hungry, and mostly sadistic. You never know what it will do to even the best of us. Now I don't know what books have taught you, but The Hunger Games are the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Katniss Everdeen is a heroine, and she gave me the confidence to be strong, be heard and be proud. Especially against pricks like you who try to make me silent.
My Teacher: Good, you can read about her while you're in detention.
Me: That's what i'd be doing, whether at home or in detention.
Whole class: *applause*
